From 2024 the Police and Border Guards will be asking more information from the new residence permit applicants. The application form with new annexes are available on their website. In case of extension only changes compared to prior information will need to be given.
Firstly the Police are asking for more detailed data about the applicant's education and work history. So far the applicant only filled in what they considered most important data.
Secondly there is a questionnaire related to military service, links to terrorism and beliefs related to discrimination. Caution is needed when filling these in to avoid misunderstandings.
In conclusion the process is made more detailed and complex and possible more time consuming. At the same time these additions are not major changes compared to the process happening already today.
