Who is a procurist and what do they do?

Estonian law has an institution called "procurist". Shareholders can appoint a procurist and they will appear in the business registry.
A procurist will have the right to represent the company in daily business activities without being a management board member. They can also serve as the contact person for foreign owned e-resident companies.
When can this be useful? For example if a board member needs someone to take care of handling certain management issues and especially digital signing when they cannot - perhaps their own card has expired and getting a new one could be complicated.
If this is of interest to you, please contact us and we can discuss acting as a procurist for your company.
