Immigration quota for 2026 in Estonia

The immigration quota for 2026 is yet to be published but it will be around the same as it been - 1300 more or less.

Previous years we have recommended to make the application in December of the preceding year (so for 2026 in the December of 2025) to make the quota but since this year the quota is still open even in October then there will most likely not be any rush.

Why is there still quota left?

The main reasons would most likely be economic headwinds in the Estonian economy and the war in Ukraine. This combined with a strict immigration policy means that the inflow of people remains low. There are of course many immigration options that do not go under the quota such as work in the IT field.
